Activities for toddlers
Drawing: my son eats everything in sight still so it's best to be back with him while he uses extra big crayons to draw and jab at the table.
Legos: Big builder blocks can wind up being a throwing hazard but if you keep close eyes on your gummybear and only give them the smaller blocks you can get a lot of millage out of fun blocks and what they can be used for.
Yummies: Snack making with littles can be stressful while they try to 'help'. I like to offer something for my son to eat while I prep snacks and then let him stir and mix a bit of the food or when very little I just give an empty bowl and spoon and they can mimic what mom is doing.
Creature hunting: During the day explain what animal you are looking for. Take into consideration what kinds of animals intrigue your little. Does she love birds, dinos, bunnies? Keep a check-list that your little can help cross off and go looking for cute or scary animals.
Gather planets and talk about what they are used for. Tree leafs, tall grasses, summer flowers and moss are wonderful learning and playtime tools for little people who toddle about wondering how things work in this big world.
