Trickle Down Valley
A new wave may have crashed over the country but there has always been a strong tidal surge of support for rumps in the valley. This winery suffers from a very slow trickle down effect. In fact, pay is so bad that turnover just keeps speeding up. You ever notice that there's always a new face behind the bar telling the little guys what to do? Ever wonder why? Well when the head boss is a d!ck then the odds are the manager is too.
Big open spaces and far flung views bring out your inner fun girl while slowly sipping at the nibbles of lush wine and tasty picnic packages. Somebody is sweet here, somebody is a boorish man-pig and somebody behind the counter likes to play games that aren’t so fun.
Guess the where and the who’s in Santa Ynez.
Celebs like to drop into the valley and some even live here. After all, this is a lovely part of SoCal but if some sizable-fish in small ponds get their way the valley will only be a destination for swigging grape's gifts. Locals need not stay and try to make the valley home.
Who doesn't want the plebs to get in the way of their profits?
Hey there good tasting, crisp and melon edged wine what have you seen lately? Could it be two tasters so knocked out by their fun day that they lost their kid in its stroller?
Oh my. Guess the Santa Barbara wine region isn't all sunshine and fine wines. It's also crazy people drinking when they shouldn't.
Guess which white-washed tasting front didn't do anything to stop them?
Santa Barbara Wine
Would a manager fire one employee just to please her friend and coworker? No. But she would fire two. Wineries in the valley are more biz and less loyalty than you'd expect from small town farmers. The glint of gold has proven a bit too fetching for a few employees at this on the map tasting room with great views.
The owners may not be watching the spread as closely as they should be, wine isn't the only thing getting lost.
Sometimes wine can make you a bit sleepy on a hot spring day. This lama of a winemaker seems extra perky for a certain married tasting room's manager. If you drop in at closing you're in for some fun!
Guess who is perky for the ladies in the Santa Ynez Valley?
Do you ever wonder who is it that made the fine red you're tasting at the vineyard's front of the house? Well, sometimes things are better left in the dark.
I have had the luck to get several behind the scenes tours from France to Santa Ynez.
What little dot-on-the map has a wine maker so blinded by even the idea of the spotlight that they can't really do anything but point and smile?
Can a good old boy be a dirty old club member of this well established winery? You would be hard pressed to grasp the depth of wild behavior by some members that is looked over by managers to push profits higher.
Where do dirty perverts go to drink wine in Santa Barbara county?

This tasting room may have a pop but the behind the scenes shows a lack of love for its hosts. Shifts can shrink at an hour's notice. Lists can change mid day with open bottles being left around to spoil.
If you sip here know that your glass may be mixed with old bottles and sloppy pours.
